Thanks for all your work on this Harvey, a great result to win the tournament and do so with 9/9.
It was a lot of fun to play the Dutch Defence and the Bird's Opening in 7 out of the 9 games. We felt this paid some homage to the fantastic history of Dutch Computer Chess Federation and the Dutch and CSVN tournaments cumulatively dating back to 1981.
We certainly spent far less time in book - in two games we were thinking from move 3!
My favourite game was of course the win against The Baron since it combined a nice king side attack with the fact we overcame The Baron's "voodoo draw spell" over Hiarcs!?

Congratulations to the Hiarcs team for participating and winning the tournament in this convincing way. Having seen quite a few games between Hiarcs and the Baron over the years, I was hoping for another draw. But anyone who looked at the game will agree that this time there wasn't a shred of a chance to get one.
Regarding the Baron: This is was a slightly modified 3.42 (evaluation changes) and I have spotted a few things (bugs) that I'm going to have a look at. So you can expect a new Baron 3.43 after the ICGA tournaments in Stockholm next month.
I already started work on the next Baron generation as well, and hope to enter that one in the Italian Championship which is held the last weekend of October in Mantova. Details of that tournament will appear soon on the GSEI website.
Richard.
