Prediction Issues

Post by Dave C »

spacious_mind wrote:Here is how it looks in the Predictors competition after 6 Rounds:

Tracy wins narrowly another Round and is ahead 4 rounds to 2.

But if Genius 2 were to stop underperforming and if MCGP were to win a few more then there still might be a turnaround before the end of the tournament.

Best regards
Having Sargon 3 and Rebel in my top 5 was a stroke of genius... however, my attraction to Millennium computers is a little embarassing . ...praying for a comeback.

Game On!

Hey, spacious_mind, are you going to continue this tournament, or have you moved on to other things?

Yes, I am planning to continue with it put probably next year. I am still in the middle of updating my website. So this year I won't get to it.

Old Chess Programs

Post by nathanhoover »

I too am running some computer chess tournaments using OLD programs. Some I have purchased many years ago, and some are now freely available on the Internet. I am running them in VMWare.

I would like to add Kallisto 1.82 to my testing, but I am not able to find it anywhere. Does anyone know where this might be availble?

Here are some participants: Hiarcs 6.0, Rebel 10.0, Chessmaster 4000, M-Chess 8.0, ChessGenius 5.0, Zarkov 3.0, Chess System Tal, Socrates 3.0, Fritz 3.0, Sargon V, WChess 1.05, Now 0.1.

I may add these programs to the testing: Arasan 2.2, Fritz 5.32 Mehpisto (Nimzo), Wasman 1.9, InmiChess 3.0, GromitChess1.2, Chess Tiger Light, Bringer, Shredder Classic 2.

I can post results and games if anyone is intersted.
