Hi Steve,

Yes I’ve done similar, familiarised myself with operating the Novag Diablo emulation on my Rev2, I just hope I understand my notes on the day:

Novag to Play White from near Side:
Top SL (Set Level) > WQ c5 (Level 21 Game in 30) > SNx2 (Info On) > PRx2 (Tournament Book On) > GO (Exit Menu) GO to Move as White

Novag to Play Black from Near side:
As above then CC key and make Whites 1st Move from Far Side

During Game:
Bottom SN (Toggle Sound On/Off)
HI (Hint) to see Opponents Expected Move
FD (Flip Display) Similar to Info but Manual

Do Not Use bottom SL Key, it Exits the Engine.

Cheers,

Al.

Hi Al
while i am very familiar with the Premiere...i am not so familiar with the Lichess Chess server where our match will be played
in order to get a bit more comfy with it i set up a 30 minute game with the Premiere playing the server chess engine at level 7(rated 2200 supposedly)
the engine wiped the Premiere off the board
i noticed that the server engine replied instantly even though given 30 minutes .it used a total of 14 seconds to play the entire game
i wonder if i set up something wrong?
anyway here is the game

Hi Steve,

I’ve only used Lichess to relay my moves in the last tournament I’ve not played against any engines. I logged back on today and can’t even find the tournament games any more?

Cheers,

Al.
click on your name(upper right corner)
then click on profile
in the middle of the screen should be a box showing the number of games
click on that and you should see your games

I Think Regards...

Well, until now I played my Brute Force only against the Mondial 68000 XL (Dallas program). In the first two games queens were exchanged rather early, and as expected the Lang program performed very well then with a draw and a win. In games 3 and 4 the BF did not exchange queens and won. Specially the 4th game was very convincing! :-).
So maybe it needed some practice to get at full steam... :-P

Ready for other Langs regards,
Paul.

Hi Steve,

Did you make selections for the various settings available on the Premiere? If so, I am anxious to hear what you think is your strongest combination.

Competitive regards,
Dave

Hi Everyone,

We need to do a roll call to make sure that everyone is still around after we settled the contestants two months ago!

Since this is a long weekend I am planning to post the Round 1 schedule on Monday.

I am looking forward to the tournament!

Best regards

Nick

Hi Nick,

Just wanted to go upstairs to the attic to make some room (shoving some chesscomputers aside ;-)) so I can sit there next week the whole saturday and play without being disturbed...

Already enjoying regards,
Paul

Good idea, maybe some of the very early birds could play their first game then in advance!?
