A real Find
these tables were not sold to the public ..they were given away to communist heads of state and other luminaries..very few made
interesting that the keys were labeled in English and not German
2 of Rft's other 4 computers were also labeled in English..2 were in German
none of the manuals for any of their computers were printed in English
i would have expected this to be labeled in German given that it was a special limited production run

Hmmmm Regards

Remarkable. Steve, is this one in your collection? If not, which head of state do you suppose this came from?

Nope
don't own the ChessMaster Table
doubt i ever will
my guess is that none of them ever made their way to the US and most are probably still somewhere in what was the former East German Republic
Legend has it that the President of East Germany and Castro(Cuban Dictator) both were given one
my guess on this one...probably some top level officer/manager of RFT(Co. that made them )decided to sell his after all these years..after...(again a guess)...it became defective
Iron Curtain Regards
