Upgraded Fidelity Champion

Post by Larry »

Apparently in Fidelity's heyday you could send your machine to
them and for a price they would upgrade it. You pay shipping both
ways, of course.
I think you will find it is a simple push-fit ROM change. The mhz
is the same, although the upgrade boasts an 80elo strength hike.
I have'nt contacted the seller, but I'm betting this one speaks....

German regards,
Larry

Yeah, you're right... I should have looked closer. The Super 9 playing
mat is green and buff, this thing is the normal Champion brown and buff.
The control panel, it seems, is a home made strip cut out and pasted over
the original surface. Looking closely, it's not even the same color as the
rest of the playing surface.
I don't doubt the integrity of Jose, however, and who knows, one of the
$1450 deranged bidders might be taken in...

Hi Larry,

this is a normal upgraded Champion (CSC) by Fidelity. This upgrade is a Super Nine Upgrade with US Voice. I bought it some years ago in US.

So i keep now the nice onces...

Ok, thanks, Jose. I dropped a bid on it last night, but by this morning
I am outbid. I also have a love affair with wooden Fidelity machines.
Unfortunately, many others do too, so the prices get pushed high. Hope
you get a good price...
regards,
Larry

Steve, careful, I don't want you to blow my cover. I'm hoping to sneak
in under the radar and grab this thing for ~30 euro. I'm also planning on
talking Jose into paying the shipping...this means he will get about
minus 20 euro in his pocket

Well that manual Jose is selling with it is really not the right one
although the difference between it and the proper manual is insignificant
Still....there should be some sort of aggravation discount of say..
75-80% Regards

HI Steve,

please tell me where are the differents with the manual?
I have also a "Champion Upgrade manual", but i see no difference?

Champion is now a Super Nine and the manual is also a Super Nine, so you can work with it.

Many thanks José

i think the difference is only the cover page
you are selling the manual for the Super 9/Deluxe Super 9
Picky Regards
