Fidelity Excellence/Par-Excellence adaptor Specs Needed PLS!

Hi everybody!
I need to know the Adaptor specs . I just ordered upgraded par excellence 16MHZ board from here: http://www.great-game-machine.com/site-fidelity-uk.htm and They told me i can use any 9v 300mA+ adaptor even though in the manual it sais not to use any other adaptor. can anyone varify this?
