A very nice machine, and unique in that it has a metallic pressure
sensitive playing surface. A wooden framed board, so it has furniture
value, and ample playing strength for the average club hacker.

Started at $60, but zoomed up to $190 on the last day.

I'm looking for a nice looking wood computer for under $200 for a local charity auction. The old Academy and Monte Carlo would fit the bill, but it seems anything wooden is in high demand in the US, going for far more than that.

I can't believe nobody makes nice looking wooden computers any more. There is obviously demand.

I agree that there seems to be a market for someone who is willing
to make an attractive wooden chess computer. They have to be
affordable, though...
