well the seller has answered a question in the auction

it seems one is a 2100 the other a V2
so the bidding is on specualtion that the computers can be repaired

a V2 alone can sell for $750-$1000

Dealers want Profits Regards

this seller takes the cake for persistance

his auction for a Novag Conny Expert ended a few days ago with a starting bid price of $750 and a "Buy Now" Price of $975
it had NO bidders
generally when an auction has not one bid...the seller will re-list it at a reduced price

not this guy..
this marvel of business acumen re-lists it with a "buy now" price only of $975
thereby in effect increasing the opening bid price by $225

i dont think so regards

Hi Steve,

well #120215347579 has the box and seems to raise interest from UK and Spain which would indicate either that this item has more value.

I know that the box makes a difference for many collectors... but you would not write "Ultra rare".

So I guess one of them is a 6124 and not a 6100... and I bet on the other one, i.e. the #280196301896 because one of the pictures looks very close to a picture on elpeon.com.

But in this case, it is very strange that hardcore collectors did not ask about shipping nor early ending of the auction regards,

Correct as usual Alain
but i think the 6124 Robot is the first auction
the only real evidence i can see is the special Addendum to the manual which was only included for the Chesster Phantom as the keyboard layout was different

there is a small possibility that even this auction is for a normal 6100 because i cannot really see the keyboard so clearly
it might be wise to ask the seller if the computer has a voice feature just to be certain if anyone is interested in this computer

Speechless Regards

Of Course no collection can be considered complete without the world famous and somewhat bizarre Eyeball Chesster Phantom
through the use of motion detectors the computer could actually "see" when the player moved away from the board and make comments about it

the bidding is already close to $500 with 5 days to run yet:

Nelson once told me he always wanted to design a chess computer that could really see.. utilizing artificial retinas

Spooky Stuff Regards
