Having played on for another 10 moves I would have thought your opponent could have allowed the mate to take place, what a spoilsport!

I have been playing through that game against the Sicilian and found it very instructive and enjoyable. There was some great tension in the centre and both players found some great moves. I also saw lots of positions where I would typically agree a draw, instructive to note how your perseverance paid off - nice game, well played!
