Hiarcs Mac v PC

Post by Michael Blake »

Hi,
I'm looking for information comparing the Mac and PC versions of Hiarcs, also any differences between Hiarcs and Deep Hiarcs. I'd appreciate any links to relevant webpages.

Thanks,
Mickey

The Hiarcs engines are the same on PC and Mac, both are currently at version 13.2.

Chessbase use the name "Deep" in front of an engine name to indicate that it is multiprocessor. We simply call the multiprocessor version "MP" so
Deep Hiarcs 13.2 == HIARCS 13.2 MP
Best wishes,
Mark

Thanks for that Mark,
I had thought the Mac version likely to be weaker, glad to know that is not the case.

Mickey
