Collector's Corner....A Trip Down Memory Lane

Post by Steve B »

I have added another set to my photo web site consisting of scans of computer chess articles taken from Mark Uniacke's collection of old Chess Computer Magazines
Mark was kind enough to scan these articles and then grant me permission to post them
the scans can all be enlarged and downloaded
simply click on the photo to select it and then click again to get to the download menu

for anyone interested in the early beginnings of commercially available chess computers ..these scans will make for pleasant reading on a lazy Sunday afternoon

the title photo of the set is of me as a young lad engaged in heavy testing of one of the then newly released chess computers

J/K Regards

I wish I was into chess computers back then, boy was there a fortune
changing hands. All you had to do was write a reasonable program, then
show some entrepreneurial skills putting it all together. You would be living
in a penthouse overlooking the harbor within a few years.
Many thanks for the work put in...

Mark has sent in a healthy supply of new scans adding a dozen more to the History Set

latest additions include a nice summary of the 1ST and 2ND Micro Chess Computer World Championships

new additions are added to the bottom of the set so for those interested in downloading the latest scans you can start from the last scan and work backwards to your left

Back To The Future Regards

Thanks Mark and Steve,

I just made a download of so great moments in the dedicated chess machines. I will print them and have it as one of my documents with the dedicated chess machines.

printing regards
