Hi Nick and Michael,

Luuk Hofman is also having blue screen problems, but that is said to be caused by still using Internet Explorer under windows 10.
Could that also have to do with using another antivirus program besides windows defender?

Hoping for a good tip regards,
Paul

Hi Paul,

I really don't know - I never got a reply from Avira...

But for one year I used Kaspersky and I never had a problem. Now I use Defender only.

Chess programming must be a risky business. I haven't seen a blue screen for well over ten years - can't remember when I last saw it. In fact Windows is more stable than OSX now ime.

please read the whole text in all posts of this thread! The blue screen has nothing to do with chess programming or Mysticum!

Edit: People who have time to read (and understand) are decreasing nowadays...

Hi Michael,

I myself use Avast, and have at times the idea that it's checks take far too much capacity from my otherwise fast computer.
A few weeks ago my computer seemed stalled, with the hard disk busy for 100% !? Only a half hour later I could work more or less normal again.
But on the other hand it could have been caused by my daughter doing her business on the same computer a few hours before...

Unfortunately I never got to see Zappa live, but he has always been one of my favourite musicians, along with Beefheart, Steve Reich, John Cage and Primus. Always new no matter how old they are.

My favourite Zappa album is probably Roxy and Elsewhere btw, although I'd have to say that One Size Fits All and You Are What You Is come close.

As for me, I play baroque and renaissance music in a couple of very amateur ensembles. Although I did do some electronic music a few years back - mostly generative/process music and musique concrète. Even sold a few albums on bandcamp!
