Re: Al (Scally) Cooper RIP
He knew and shared his fate in a very simple and transparent way to us in this forum, a kindness to get us aware and prepared.
Nevertheless hard to acknowledge.
Deep thought to his family and loved ones.

A few hours ago, I noticed he had not been active here for a month. I had a very bad feeling about this.
Even if he got us prepared to this, and though I don't know him in person, it's a hard blow. Condolences to his loved ones.

I was lucky enough to work actively with him on the picochess project for a while (I wrote some of the background on my picochess.com page as a post).
We will all miss Al. He was a really good person.
Rest in peace, Scally

Although I never met him in person, I considered him a friend. RIP Scally. You played the endgame with great dignity.
