Just played a couple of games against the Excalibur Grandmaster which will operate on batteries or A/C adapter
I like the size of the board and the green and white vinyl squares. The chessmen have just the right weight also. There is a number of levels to satisfy most people.
All in all had a good time playing GM.
Anyone else played against GM recently?

Re: Excalibur Grandmaster
Isn’t that the one with no field lights?…which means you have to keep looking at the display,?
I looked at it once but didn’t like it. Have fun with it though…

A nice one!
I would much like to get one, but it is not often offered, moreover at a fair price. And I already own the same Ron Nelson's program in my Excalibur Ivan the Terrible, so I am not in a hurry.
Maybe some day...
Cheers, Tibono

Re: Excalibur Grandmaster
Yes a great board just sadly let down my no move LEDs which the majority of Excalibur chess computers don't have. Ron Nelson said unfortunately that this was to keep the cost down. Came in silver and black, had a few in my time.
