Speeding Colossus X

Running in D-fend optimized to the fastest options, Colossus searches around 100 K moves per second. How could I make it run even faster?

Hola Fernando!

Si quieres usar al maximo de performance , se puede utilizar una virtualmachine como Oracle Virtual Machine. Descargalo , instalalo , y despues escribeme por privado y te paso una imagen de disco con el ColosusX ya instalado y funcionando. En mi Q6600 analiza aprox 3Mnps 1 core.

Prueba con esta imagen de disco en el Oracle Virtual box. En el perfil de maquina asegurate de configurar Windows 3.1 , Chipset PIIX3 y 64mb ram. Y luego en el disco agrega la imagen que esta en el Zip de abajo.

Esta configurado con Ms-dos 6.22 y con drivers para unidad optica (cd/dvd) , te va a servir para instalar otros programas de MS-dos como Rebel Wchess Genius etcetc

Dear Pal:

The installation of Oracle ask a lot of procedures about which I have no idea, it is chinese for me and I am afraid of damaging or perturb my working computer, so I will do nothing.
Thanks for your effort trying to teach something to this old poor man.
