Hi, the game is available in the latest TWIC batch (#1452).
I ran a computer analysis using deep HIARCS 15.1, two cores, 5secs per move and the final statement was: White loses 0.27 pawn per move (1 mistake, 8 inaccuracies), Black loses 0.05 pawn per move (2 inaccuracies).
So black's performance (Niemann's) has been close to perfect. I suspect it is the reason for the allegation.

It is about Hans Niemann allegedly cheating. After he beat Carlsen with black.
No proof or evidence given so far. Bunch of eccentric super GM paranoia.

Show me the proof regards

Murat

Edit: did not see Tibono's post ahead of me

Wasn't this an OTB game?
opponents sitting face to face
the whole world focused on Carlsen's game and every move
hard to imagine how Niemann could have cheated?
listening device in his ear?
someone signaling him from the playing hall?
went to the toilet too many times??

Sour Grapes Regards?

Yesterday he admitted to cheating during an online tournament when he was 12, and then again during an unrated game when he was 16.

However, he states he is now "clean" and has never cheated during an OTB tournament:

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2022/ ... -now-clean

“If they want me to strip fully naked, I will do it,” said Niemann. “I don’t care. Because I know I am clean. You want me to play in a closed box with zero electronic transmission, I don’t care. I’m here to win and that is my goal regardless.”

Not sure if that would Increase or Decrease Ratings Regards,
Greg

Sorry Steve...

But it appears Elon Musk has discovered a theory.

Spoiler - it is not "in his ear"...

"19-year-old Hans Niemann today AGAIN defeated the World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen, in the 6th round of the Julius Baer Generation Cup, as Magnus Carlsen resigned his game in the second move. Carlsen went offline as soon as he resigned, and it is questionable if he will continue playing the Julius Baer Generation Cup."

Carlsen is very consequent. He believes this guy is a cheater and he will not play a cheater.

Why even play the first move ?
Carlsen thinks Niemann is a cheater so he should just refuse to play him ....
not getting the ...make your first move ..then quit.. thingie

Hi Steve,

he was under contract to play this game.

This was signed long time ago so resigning at the earliest possible move was his only option without breaching the contract.

Those darn contracts regards

I agree this seems to be the case. However, for the sport of chess, would not it be better for him to publicly clarify his position on the issue (as world champion)? Is Magnus concerned about past online events, or does he believe Hans was cheating in the recent OTB tournament? If it was concern over past events, why did Magnus play the entire game against Hans at the Sinquefield Cup? What is the the theory/evidence for OTB cheating at Sinquefield?

https://twitter.com/Kasparov63/status/1 ... wYHU0Xy1VA

I am not a supporter of Hans. However, it seems the silence is fueling much speculation.
