My Facebook friend Ron Nelson recently sent me this photo of himself at the 1980 World Computer Championships in Linz, Austria.
The Chess Challenger is stacked onto a Peltier refrigerator to cool it down.

I think that he is too busy playing Pickleball every day plus he still teaches Line Dancing. Plus he is a keen traveller.

That photo of Ron Nelson at the 1980 World Computer Championships sounds like a cool piece of history. The Chess Challenger on a Peltier refrigerator—now that's some creative cooling!

Thanks to ricard60 for appreciating the photos and recognizing the significance of those dedicated sensory chess machines. They truly are a part of the computer chess legacy.
