:) I wish him well.

Wonder if he will be falling asleep over the board after a hard night's walking junior around and nappy changing :)

I suspect also human error (me). A few games with book learning on that just happened to be 1. d4 set a train of events that could not be shifted. :)

Yes there is. :)

Just untick tournament book. I am surprised that such a setting drives to such narrowness though.

No views? Now up to 29 games, all 1. d4.

Tournament should last for 56 games - and I expect all of them to start the same.

Is there some magic setting somewhere?

Hiarcs 13d Book

Hi, I have the Hiarcs 13d book and am running an engine tournament using it under Fritz 12 GUI. Something strange seems to be happening as every game starts with 1. d4. Surely there should be more variety than this (20 games in now and all d4 which should not be very likely statistically) or have I ...

Excellent Harvey. Many thanks.

That's a weird way to do it, though. Nice of Chessbase to explain. ;)

Chessbase GUI - Run The Gauntlet Tournaments

Sorry to post this here but I figure a lot of people run the Chessbase GUI and may have come across this. Is it just me or is the "Run The Gauntlet" (RTG) engine tournament absolutely useless? Let me explain by an example. Set up a 2 engine tournament as RTG and let them play. At a later d...

Liberating Deep Junior 2010 UCI

No, not a piracy issue. :) I bought Bobby Junior with Deep Junior 2010 UCI. I have it activated and it runs fine. Frankly, I am not too impressed with the "Bobby" part and would rather run the DJ 2010 engine in another GUI. However, I am damned if I can find it anywhere. It's almost as if ...

Problem solved along the lines suggested here.

However, for others who get this problem, the file in Vista is "App data" not "Application data". Otherwise, as suggested here works a treat.

Release/Update Order for Hiarcs

Hi,

Just a quick question:

As far as I can see the relase/update order is

1) Hiarcs 12
2) Hiarcs Paderborn 2007
3) Hiarcs 12.1

Can someone clarify if 12.1 is an update of PB 2007 or is it the same program with nomenclature changed to reflect version improvement?

Many thanks

Thanks Harvey - I'll give that a go when I get home. Sorry for being a bit obtuse.

However, on the basis that I do have one, what do I do to make it accessible?
