Congratulations Hiarcs for the very good second place! 12 cores, 40 cores?? Let the used hardware be equal than we doenst have such discussions. In all kind of sports there must be equal conditions. What about playing soccer: one team 11 players, the other team 12 players. Something to think about L...

When will there be a'n update for Hiarcs 12?? Just like Deep Sjeng who give a update for WC 2008?
Or should we buy a new Hiarcs in the future??

Yes this is a great Hiarcs site. But: something to worry : 2 times Hiarcs 12 MP on quad was crushed by rybka 3 on a laptop.
We cant close our eyes for reality.

Once again I vote for YES. How many players like to lose again and again from Rybka at very fast and expensive (over clocked!!) octa's?? In the non-rybka room maybe we can play chess without very expensive hardware. Maybe only 1 thread and duo core should be allowed in this non rybka room?

Anybody has a tip for the settings for Deep Hiarcs 12 on long games
say 60 + 15. In my opinion I lost too much longer games (16 minutes and more)
Btw : I have intern memory from 3 GB and gives Hashtables 1,5 Gb
Any suggestion welcome

Thanks for the answers, maybe it is a time problem, Hiarcs had 7 seconds to go. But it is strange that Hiarcs 12 MP made such a horrible move.

I played at chessbase a 16 m game with Hiarcs 12 MP to a strong Rybka MP engine (hardware with four threats), I only have hardware with two threats. I lost the game but I think it always is a draw. I played white: White: King e2, bisschop c6 Black: King f4, pawn e3, bisschop e7 This is after the 180...
