Type in phantom 6100 chess computer on Ebay and you will see a few for sale as well as a power adapter for 139.00.My choice would be to win a bid for another model 6100 for around 160.00 or so,and get another computer, extra pieces, ect ect, since 139.00 is way overpriced for an adapter.I have 2 adapte...

Can't seem to retain clock setting memory in Fritz 12...
I have purchased Komodo8 for multiprocessors(for better or worse). It appears that it comes with the Fritz 12 interface.I have always used my Shredder 11 with my Fritz 7 interface, using mainly the Houndini engine.I'm still getting use to this newer Fritz 12 interface with many more bells and whistles...

watchman...you make no sense at all and there is no logic in your statement. What I wrote above was related to YOUR statement about the 7,000+ cost of your multcore system. If you made your statement above with 5 year old $$ value, that is also irrelevant, since the cost is still less for me than any qu...

Well,if you ever change your mind about the R-40,keep me in mind!I'll even throw in my Fidelity Mach 4 and Boris in a box...ha ha!Another computer hardly anyone has anymore was the robotic arm model, name I forget without researching it.Again,i'm not a big collector...only the two I mentioned, but I s...

I agree. As I said about the R-30 2.5 Tasc as well as the much rarer R-40,most owners(like myself with the R-30)....do not want to part with them. But one day,I will get an R-40,i'm sure....maybe some dying off old chess collector that finally feels its time to part with it before the reaper comes kno...

Check my other post.$2,000 for my Tasc R-30 and $1,500 for my Chesster Phantom Eyeball. For true knowledgeable collectors, they top Mephisto on the most desirable lists as well as all others. Now,if i could obtain the super rare Tasc R-40,my collection would be complete. If you own an R-40 and your wil...

Oh,and by the way.... Yes,I know that there is a newer version chess computer that moves its own pieces, ect ect.But that is a much smaller unit with smaller pieces and is JUNK compared to the original Phantom. The Chesster does not get to the top of the collectors list and rarely shows up on Ebay for...

Chess computer collection?Quality,not quantity!
Amount of computers does not matter. What matters is which ones an owner has which are the most sought after, rare, most desirable by the elite collectors, elo strength, ect, ect. There really is only 2 computers that top the list on truly knowledgeable collectors of vintage systems. And they are(trumpets ...

Optimizing engine strength vs strange results....
Normally for years,I have been using Shredder 11 UCI to load all my engines and Hiarcs.I figured, after all these years,i'll try a new UCI with more bells and whistles. So when I got the DVD through the mail(Komodo 8 for multiprocessors),it took me a while to get use to it,and it came with everything ...

In addition,to my post above,my research kind of indicates to go beyond 4096 with infinite analysis and nothing else running on my computer. But i could be wrong.I keep reading that it is important to run the highest hash available, when using infinite settings for several hours over a move....but i'm...
