Hi 4.9, I'm absolutely sure, that a kick-starter project can easily create a good alternative to DGT, if the software foundation is such as described as "should-be". The only thing is the marketing support and getting a foot into the door. But also for this I see good chances. Hoping for s...

Hello Al and 4.9, I think the basic issue is, that PicoChess is open source and therefore bringing it to market is a bit problematic from the legal/contractual point - a.f.a.I.k. But open source is a Hobby! And project members can suddenly disappear... So I hope that Juergen can at least get some re...

Hi dntfeedthemnkys, sort the database the way you like and then Export (edit -> copy -> games -> all gemaes -> new database) it to a new one. This is the only way I know. I have the same issue, when creating a Training file. I normally use the "round" for my chapters. But if a chapter was ...

Hi Evan, though being on 10.11. El Capitan myself, I think System reaction should vary. If you requested new database, a tab - like such when a pgn was opened - should come up. Try to force saving (CMD+S) and the usual save-as-dialog should appear. Slect Folder to store it in etc... If autosave is e...

Re: DGT e-board / Mac,PC,Pico / full coverage / worthy &

… I recently purchased GAVON to use with my DGT board. It has the advantage of multiple engines and a nice LCD display. My greatest frustration with my DGT board is that I'm able to interface it with HIARCS Chess Explorer on my Mac... Greg Hello Greg, I must admit the display is a big advantage com...

what's the advantage of real old 3d-chess pieces over electronical 2d-ones thant can be moved with a mouse or touchpad or the finger on the screen ? I'm more comfortable with the latter Hello gsgs, I think it is a matter of how someone learns better: For some it is the "virtual" 2D scenar...

Re: Picochess on DGT 3000

The newest clock from DGT makes for a nicer playing experience on Picochess machines. The DGT 3000 has a bit more modern look, wider display and some additional (USCF approved) modes. Love the color. I like it, I hope all the bugs of pico chess have been fixed. Hope is not too pricey! 150-250Us dollars is probably the sweet spot. HCE 1.9 Printing problems

Hello Mark,

Can you already advice a release date for HCE 1.9.1?

Actually I have HCE 1.8 running on one Mac to avoid being "debarred" from printing (need it for youth training) like I'm on the second Mac with 1.9.

Thanks for updating the whole community
