Multi PV
Granted this is most likely a silly question, but here goes: When I tell HCE Pro to show me "x" lines of analysis in the "Analysis Explorer", am I invoking a multi pv mode? (Which can make the analysis somewhat suspect for CPU only engines. Has no effect on Leela.) OR Am I simply...

Re: Feature Request: WDL scoring option to Centipawn
Hello Mark,Mark Uniacke wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2023 11:04 am Thanks for that, it would be a useful addition to HCE Pro in a future update.
I think it would be interesting to see the latest WDL values produced by an engine (if available) displayed in the stats.
Are we getting any closer to implementing this feature?

Re: 1.3 Feature Request
TBH I don't know. I had same problem when I tried my whole name. Looked at the help file again and noticed that it was last name only with the wildcard. Tried just my last name and boom it worked. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I assumed this was obvious, but only now I see it isn't. PGN and FIDE uses the format Kaspar...

Re: 1.3 Feature Request
When I used this I input my last name with and asterisk as shown in the help files. Works fine. I noticed from your screen shot that you did not use and asterisk after your name. Just wondering if that might be the cause of your trouble. Have you tried using Rahde* as the input?

Re: 1.3 Feature Request
Hi Tim, For 1. that is already available in HCE Pro since 1.0: Please go to Database->Manage->Flip board to set all the players you want the auto flip for. See the manual on that here: https://www.hiarcs.com/hce-pro/manuals/pc/Managedatabasedialog.html For item 2, why would you need to do that? - i...

1.3 Feature Request
I use HCE Pro for all of my ICCF games and would love the program even more if: 1. The program would automatically flip the board (based on the game header) so that the side I am playing is at the bottom. 2. There was a keyboard command to shut down all (or one at a time) engine/s. Basically I'm jus...

Re: Stored variation within the cache is linked to the actual engine
So the separate caches would show up per engine when multi engine analysis is happening? I find it annoying that the cache for SF is showing up in my Lc0 analysis line when using both engines at the same time. Yes, Stockfish cache will be only displayed when analysing with Stockfish. My comment was...

Re: Stored variation within the cache is linked to the actual engine
Or you find a solution to specify as user via Settings, how much cached engines results or which engine results should be displayed for the analyzed position. :D Separate caches make sense to me, as the depths of various programs are not really comparable. So the separate caches would show up per e...

Re: Feature Request: WDL scoring option to Centipawn
This takes more space, so it doesn't seem suitable for standard evaluation, but maybe for statistics line? I am not sure how to present it, what about something like: exp. result: +36.1% =23.9% -40.0% (assuming UCI_ShowWDL is set to true). That would be fine. I usually use that setting for engine o...

Re: Feature Request: Correspondence Reflection Time Tools
That would be an interesting upgrade. To work correctly, I believe that HCE would also need to be able to import moves, from whatever email account/server you are using for the USCF games, to be able to grab the time stamps from the headers. This will be the simplest, but I understand HCE would nee...

Re: Feature Request: Correspondence Reflection Time Tools
Mea culpa, I keep forgetting that you are Mac only. Yeah Ectool not a solution for you.
Keep fingers crossed that the dev team implements your very good idea in a future release.

Feature Request: WDL scoring option to Centipawn
Would really like to see this implemented in HCE. Most current NNUE engines are able to give this information in place of the standard centipawn scoring system that HCE currently uses.
