The 50 move rule issue is quite minor in that HIARCS clearly recognised Re4+ as a draw by the 50 move rule or it would not of played such a move. thanks for giving this interesting insight into it!

Yes, this should be a bug, Hiarcs 13.31 shows every white move as "good" (even 1. Qc3+ or 1. Qb2+) and calculates only 7 halfmoves (+0.09).
After 1. Qh8 Hiarcs shows mate in 12 after a few seconds.

In this endgame position some work is necessary:

White can draw: 1. Nf8 and Nxh7 =

Hiarcs 13.3 plays 1. Nd4? Kxh6 0-1
