Steve: Yes my EAG V2 is exactly is the same as your faster version FD5C 49AC. It would be interesting to see how your two computers would compare in problem mode. The solve times could be significantly different. Maybe your slower version is an earlier model. Can't say I've ever heard of two version...

They say timing is everything.

Occasionally one comes across a good buy-it-now, but this buyer got a steal

Even if it isn't working the opening module is probably worth that much.

Maybe if I buy the whole set he'll throw in the computer for free!

I noticed this guy uses an off the shelf adapter. ( 9 volt DC) I have two avant garde chess computers. The original adapters have an output voltage of 9 volt AC. It's just a step down transformer. The manual states: "Do not use any transformer other than the Fidelity transformer designed specif...

It appears this guy is auctioning the box only.

Read the description closely. BOX FOR SALE. Apparently you have to go to another site to purchase the board.

Otherwise, why no photos of the board. Just one photo of the box.

$281 seems to be reasonable, even if it is not working. Considering what others have sold for in the past and only 2000 were produced. I'd love to get my hands one one of these just to tinker with the mechanism. That would be a real challenge. But then again, adding generic parts would ruin it's tru...

I'm no expert on chess computers, and i'm sure this has been discussed before, but what exactlly is the problem with the Novag Robot? Is it the circuitry or mechanics that causes it's failure? There must be some way to repair these vintage machines to their original working condition. A working Robo...

I'd say this is a good price for a designer 2325, if it's still available.

Obviously seller doesn't know his prices.

Anyone willing to gamble $45.00 + shipping?

Steve: Do both programs in the Elite Premiere share hardware like the Resurrection or do they run separately on their own hardware inside the board by flicking the switch. Is there any difference between the performance of these two programs in the Elite Premeire vs. the same programs in the origina...
