Never mind it looks like the problem is still there.
My mistake the problem is still there. I don't see the issue with other GUIs. For example chessx does not seem to have this issue with stockfish. To reproduce the issue run stockfish on a position. stop the engine, go to another game and stop the engine go to another position and try to restart the ...

Possible UCI protocol Bug with 3rd Party engines.
I noticed that the lockup which occurs with stockfish when switching databases is now fixed with the latest fix in stockfish. However it seems like HIARCS might be at least partially responsible for the problem according to the UCI protocol definition. The fix states: Search is started after setting...

Biggest complaint with HIARCS
Mine is that I tend to work with very heavily annotated games and would like to see more of them at once without having to scroll back and forth. I would like to be able to hide those parts of the GUI I am not concerned with. The Move Indicator takes up a lot of room and most of the time (at least f...

Re: Move Indicator
I have an idea that you might find appealing. Programmatically you can calculate the width available for the move indicator. It is just the width of the window minus the width of the board. You could make the move indicator adjust its size based on that width available minus small margins ( up to a...

Adding Boards
I don't suspect you would but please don't disable the user's ability to add their own boards. This is one of my favorite features.
