I had my ARB pieces restaured by the restauration guru in Austria. He removed the old laquer, the bleached the pieces two times with 30% water peroxid and then applied a thin laquer 3 times (matte to match my Prestige board, which he restored too in a fantastic manner). I can send pictures to anyone...

thanks for your advice to use savon noir. I ordered some from France and it does did indeed a great job of cleaning my Prestige pieces, which are probably the same pieces of your ARB. Also my wife likes the savon noir and replaced many chemical cleaners with it!

I replayed the game and the Privat insists on playing th bad 50. ...f5?. Later I moved the wrong rook on the lichess-board, but this does't change the outcome since the position was lost anyway...
