I like the chessmaster series of chess software. In particular chessmaster 9.
It is a pity that chessmaster opertates on WIN 98 ME and WIN XP. and not later software. I have a DELL Latitude D531 laptop with WIN XP just to play Chessmaster.

I have a set of DGT enabled chessmen stored carefully in a chess box not used for 5 years.
Does the DGT sensing mechanism have a usable time limit? Will it deteriorate over time?

I do not have a DGT board to test the chessmen.
Not sure if the sensing mechanism will still operate correctly today.
