To whomever it may concern, Spacious Mind started with the name calling, calling me 'stupid', just because I have a different opinion than his. I have decided to stop posting on this forum altogether. I apologize to whomever I may have hurt their feelings. No need to lock the thread because of me. T...

Hi Nick, Man, I'm having a little fun here, seeing how stiff some people are...I better start using emoticons to give a hint to people when I'm joking. You seem to suffer from the same ailment...what your doctor is calling it....ADD or SAS?...or you've never been to a doctor so far? My beef was not ...

Hi Nick the dick, You bitter little elf, you have no sense of humor, don't you? First of all this was between the original poster (Oliver), Sascha, and myself. Why do you get in between us, your a$$ is itching for a blackened eye? You better get a more spacious mind before you call me stupid. Just b...

Come on man, give this chess computer brother a break, he didn't steal a picture showing your naked wife sensuously hugging a chess computer. It's a damn picture of a chess computer you did not design, built, own no patents, trademark, or copyrights. Now if you told us that you spent a lot of money ...

Steve and Larry,

Yes, you guessed right, I'm selling a Fidelity EAG v2 on Ebay USA.
I don't usually sell my chess computers, I hope this is the first and last I will ever sell (unless I get doubles). I'm really sad to see it go.

Best regards,
Kostea

Ricardo, That's one of the drawbacks of the 6502 CPU. It has too many differences between manufacturers. Some support an extended instruction set, others don't. For example, your CPU that has the extra 'T', that means 'TSMC foundry'. Probably the support guy will tell you this. That CPU must have so...

Ricardo, It would be good if you got a picture of the 10 MHz module circuit board to see if you have the same components in the 5 MHz one. This should have been the first step in your upgrade project before you purchased any parts and replaced them in the module. The second step would be to find out...

Ricardo, Weird power supply. It says 12 W on it and it is rated 9 V / 500 mA only? I = P/U = 12/9 = 1.3 Amps ( I=electric current; P=power ; U=voltage) At least 1 Amp should take. Now of course no manufacturer would stamp the maximum current specs on the power supply so to avoid encouraging people t...

Hi Ricardo, I recall reading on a chess computer forum that the genuine 10 MHz Polgar module requires a special Exclusive board with a modified power supply. I will let others who own such a set up to comment from their personal experience. My best guess is that since you don't have a genuine 10 MHz...

Hi Bryan,

Did you have to open up the Citrine and make some jumper configurations on the circuit board before you flashed the memory with the new version of software?
Do you still have any contacts at Novag, or that changed when the new company took over?

Best regards,
Kostea

Hi Ricardo, What I said below is not an attempt to discourage anyone from overclocking. Just some things to think about. Before I attempt to answer your questions, let me clarify one thing. The CPU in the POLGAR reads a lot from ROM too (where the chess engine is stored). The ROM is generally consid...

Too bad, I also need a box. The Atlanta box is one of the few that I like. It looks like it has the jersey colors of my hometown soccer team. That if it is purple/violet.

Hi Ricardo, There is no need for faster RAM. Actually, believe it or not, the 6502 CPU is the bottleneck in the POLGAR module. Here is a simple method to calculate timings. The upgrade CPU has a 10 MHz frecquency ( 10 million Hertz). That means that it can run 10 000 000 cycles per second. A cycle t...

Lucky guy indeed. About a month ago, the Mephisto Lyon seller asked for 'only' GBP 500 in this Craigslist London listing: http://london.craigslist.co.uk/tag/1961944896.html He was a lucky mofo that no one contacted him to buy the computer at that price. He who laughs last laughs best. Kostea PS Crai...

Larry,

Your post made me read again the original question, and I have just realized that somehow I missed it was about a Novag computer.
I have no idea which Novag was the blitzmonster.

Sorry for the confusion,

Kostea
