Thank you

Perhaps this change has led you to the false conclusion that engine vs engine matches no longer work...

Chessbase has decided to make a dramatic change to its GUI for its programs. Apparently programmers were tired of having the GUI not work when they were using it for chess engine matches, (or they were tired of getting complaints from owners of the programs they sell regarding the GUI crashing or no...

Hiarcs wins g.49 Match score: Hiarcs 29- D.Sjeng 20

Hiarcs has won the 49th game of this match, which I had the two programs play today. The game ended after 66 moves when Deep Sjeng WC 2008x64 resigned the game. According to endgame tablebases a forced checkmate (in 14) would have occurred to the Deep Sjeng program if it had not resigned first. The ...

G. 46 result:draw, match score:Hiarcs: 27 Sjeng:19

<Dark> <PostPosted> <HIARCS> Yes, Deep Sjeng apparently was created for blitz chess not regular time controls. This program can analyze positions deeply however, it rarely uses much time for any move in a regular time control game, which of course is a serious drawback against a program like Hiarcs 1...
