anyone can comment on the style of play of Hiarcs-14?. what changes in your style of play? the only thing i've read so far is speculation that it's significantly better tactically. don't know about actual 'style' as i don't yet have it, tho it seems (to me) that hiarcs has been moving in a more 'so...

harvey, any chance you'll be attending w/ hiarcs in tow? that was fun during the broadcast of the london classic a couple (?) years ago.

I am analysing a game of mine and the analysis Hiarcs gives is 0.00 while Deep Rybka 4 gives a 0.46 centipawn advantage to White, this is quite a difference, which am I to believe is the more accurate? i think it's cool that vas is a fan of the KID...or maybe he threw it in as a wrench -- very nice trap by the GM, you'd think vas would be all booked out.

I just saw Junior 12 for release on the Chessbase site. That is interesting. It seems that buying Junior from Hiarcs is the best bet as it is UCI and that is the option I will stay with. Future Juniors will be available from the Hiarcs site correct? haven't bought J12 yet but i hope so as well. bet...

These results seem to confirm that Hiarcs vs a strong super GM is at least 400 elo stronger. I would like to see some more games but at a slightly longer time control say 5+2 or even G/10. i have to be honest i'm shocked gandalf is winning any of these. i realize 4.32f was said to be a fun, strong, engine but i thought it tailed off after that & was never on HIARCS level to begin with.

when was the last time a human drew hiarcs? what about defeated (you must remember this one)? [father excluded, if he plays it, though i'd be interested to know if the people in the above cases were both using 'father-like' strategy to draw/win.] i didn't really realize there were still human/engine...
